My main PC has failed at home (yes i know backup backup etc), but no
backup. Its not a HD failure, but i think the fan failed and fried the
CPU.

Question is - if i buy a new PC, can i run the old HD in there so i
can recover Outlook, and get a list of all the progs that are on there
so i can start over.

I know i can put the drive in as a slave to read data, but i would
really like to actually run XP up.

Will it work in safe mode with the wrong display drivers etc. ?
