MCE Slideshow problem

HI,
has anyone encountered problems using the MCE slideshow.  I had a problem
with mine (just shows a black blank screen) and wasn't too bothered as I
was going to build a new MCE machine - I have now done this and still get
the problem - The only common component between the 2 systems is the MCE
remote.  Can't find anything via google/thegreenbutton etc.

Any ideas?
