CLI on a modem

At about the same time I was wondering about how to do CLI on a modem
I saw
a post asking a very similar question from someone (sorry cannot find the
post). Karam at Idratek pointed me towards a ZOOM 3025-72-00CF which is a
V.92 modem with voice, fax and data options as a option for CLI. I picked
one up from PCWorld (the PCI version) After a wrestle with the install
process I can confirm that these cards do support BT CLI. FWIW this is a
line reversal followed by v.23 encoded information before first ring. This
is different from the AT&T CLI that most modems support and different
again
from cable companies=92 methods! Using the supplied s/w (Communicate v8
Li=
te)
the PC displayed the number after a couple of rings. I=92ve yet to get
get=
it
set-up on Idranet, but hopefully soon=85

This was on a Gigabyte 7DXR (AMD) based system - for =A320 and PCW's
return=
s
policy it could be worth a punt if you are after CLI, but do a back-up
firs=
t
& follow the instructions to the letter, I suffered BSOD and although I
got
the system back using the recovery console (thanks for the help guys) I
eventually decide to completely reinstall as it just wasn=92t behaving
properly..
