Under normal circumstances you will be fine using the lamp modules
with
two important points
1) Don't overload them as they will not handle the current and
2) Don't use them with florescents. There are exceptions I understand to
this latter rule but they are special ones.

I don't know about lights with transformers as some you can and some you
cannot.

I have a quick question about X10.How closely can lamp modules be made to
imitate appliance modules?



If I want to use some to turn on & off floodlights outside and/or
fluorescent tubes can I just send "on" & "off"
commands rather than "dim"
commands? What about lights with transformers?

Does it depend on the exact model number of lamp module?
