Re: Fwd: Lost messages
Mark
Please understand that I really appreciate the help I have received from
the group, and no way was I criticising anyone.
I didn't realise that every note is vetted...it still doesn't explain the
disappearance of some non-contraversial notes of mine.
I remember a recent Yahoo announcement that the service would be down over
a weekend (a couple of months ago) to make some changes that would, amongst
other things, speed-up postings. I just wondered if this hadn't been done
on yahoo.com but had on yahoo.co.uk,. In fact I don't really understand why
ukha_d isn't on yahoo.co.uk....but there are a lot of "computer
things" I don't understand.
That's one of the reasons I joined the list (and I am glad I did!)
Keep up the good work, and thanks for it.
Rgds

Some email gets blocked by sam filters, disappears into the ether etc. I
can't help you with that.
However, our list is also MODERATED for new users. This is how we have ZERO
SPAM on this list. Yahoo will automatically change "new" users to
un-moderated after a set number of posts.
In the meantime our mods have to approve many messages each day, meaning
some will appear out of order.
An incident over the weekend is another example of how messages can seem to
be delayed. A message from Phil Harris (long time un-mod'd member) was
identified as "Spam" by Yahoo Groups and quarantined until I
spotted it and
was able to approve it the following day.
Please remember Yahoo Groups is an excellent FREE service, and the mods are
busy people and give their time freely to help the list.
