It looks the same as the standard Oregon Scientific rain gauge.  You
can
buy just the collector from some sites, or there are some cheaper
packages here:

The collector transmits rain data at 433MHz (same as X10, Electrisave
and countless others), and is supported by the RFXCOM receivers (yes,
them again!).  It sends the running total, so even if a packet is missed
because of collisions with other devices, the correct total will get
through eventually.

I just bought the collector bucket myself (i.e. without the display
unit), and it's been working fine here via my RFXCOM receiver and xPL.
