Buffalo Linkstations has a pretty active hacking community:
http://linkstationwiki.net/ and the
new one's a very nice boxes, complete
with a fairly powerful CPU
Other thing to consider might be the ASUS WL-700ge (
http://www.asus.com/products.aspx?l1=12&l2=43&l3=0&model=979&modelmenu=1)
which has a torrent client and iTunes support built in, never seen one so
don't know how good it is though.
