The onscreen GUI ships with the iDyl server.  .NET application running
on top of Windows XP.  The product is by Digital Future Solutions and is
sold as a complete unit i.e hardware and software.  To clarify, 6 DVD
streams is about the tops when it gets to 100 Mb/s.  if you need more -
and the 10 bed scheme I'm doing in Carcassonne does - then Gigabit is
the way to go.  Most domestic installs might use a main iDyl and maybe
2-3 video nodes.

The GUI on the AMX wireless touchpanel is a combination of the new AMX /
Imerge XiVA module and some customisation we did for the show to bring
in lighting, cameras etc. Looking at the video I couldn't have held the
AMX panel in a worse place vs. the stand lights :-)  The 5" panel in
the
wall was an absolute gem but I'm not sure that Mark took any shots
