I hate to say it but I would go with the core2. The core2 is a great
chip
and the ones we have been running at work are a lot cooler and therefore
quieter than the AMDs I have at home. My last intel was my 486 and its been
athlon ever since.

The games performance of them aint bad either with my macbook pro giving a
respectable performance.

So I would say Intel (come on AMD help me out here) and don't forget the
ne=
w
quad cores are out.
