I would also certainly go Intel Core 2 Duo - they're still ahead of
AMD currently - I'm now running 3 core 2 duo's (lower spec) and a QX6700
quad (2.66GHz), overclocked to 3GHz and it'll go further still :) I'd
recommend one of the mid level CPU's.
