Re: Re: Remember that amazing multi-touch display?

many good things can be said about MS ... their advertising, for
one, is grown-up & doesn't annoy ... they try to fix their bugs &
omissions quite quickly, too ... and their relatively open strategy
has brought forth a lot of functionality, from all over, which is
very very very good ... their keyboards are generally a lot better,
too ... I even sympathise with their bootleg & pirate problems (I've
paid full whack for all my stuff from them, despite the high
prices) ... and I wish them luck with Vista ... it's just the very
chaotic way they work, and its various consequences, that rather too-
often tries the patience ...

I'll try to be (even) more sensitive to Ian's sensitivities in
future ...

BTW, the Surface idea is exciting ... looks like it's going to be
very very good ... even awesome !

'interesting, too, that they talk of using bar-codes to interface
with things placed on-top ... 'sounds like there'll be life in bar-
codes for some time yet ... 'wonder how it will read them - only in
certain places ... and what codes they'll use ... funny the media
articles didn't mention RFID ... or 3D possibilities (3D tables
already being available, via polarisation) ... ???
