Here is the spec for the HP EX470 which I think I have decided to buy

http://tinyurl.com/22758d

But when I contacted HP about buying one here this is the response I=20
got

Dear Mr Fletcher,=20

Thank you for contacting HP.=20

In response to your e-mail, they HP EX470 MediaSmart Server is not=20
due for release untill December and will be approximatly =A3450 to
=A3500=20
suggested retail price.

I hope this information is of use to you. If you have any other=20
queries, or need any other information, please do not hesitate to=20
reply directly to this email, keeping all previous history.=20

Kind Regards,=20

Stephen Hayes
Tel: 0870 010 4320=20
http://www.hp.eu/hho/shop=20

So double the US price and =A3100 more than the TranquilPC Silent=20
offering - Good luck selling that! Anyone considering grey-importing=20
one let me know as I want one - I might organise the import myself so=20
anyone who wants one let me know and I'll see what can be done.

BTW=20

This is what it says about OS support

a . Remote access is not supported by Windows Vista Home (all=20
versions); the Business, Enterprise, and Ultimate versions of Windows=20
Vista support remote access. For more information, see Why can't I=20
connect to some computers? in the Windows Home Server Console Help.=20

b . Windows XP Professional and Windows XP Media Center Editions=20
support remote access. Windows XP Home does not support remote=20
access.=20

Am I the only one to think its crazy that a HOME server doesn't fully=20
support any of the specialised HOME OS operating systems offered by M$

Tim.
