For reasons that are too boring to go into, I'm looking into buying a
docking station/port replicator for a laptop...

When researching which of the various original manufacturer options to
buy, what do you imagine might ne the *single* most important
information I'd like to see on the various websites that are selling
them?...

Err... how about what ports it's got?

So guess what....
