If they suspect that the interference is mains borne, a reasonable UPS
should prevent any sags, spikes or surges.

If the interference is supposed to be EMI you could bundle the whole lot
up in an earthed metal box and ask them to "get out of that"!!!!

If you really want to monitor the mains, get hold of something like a
Dranetz. We hire them from BSRIA  . . . Last time we hired a Dranetz,
ISTR it was about £200 for a week and that was a few years ago . . . .

There are cheaper solutions around (I think PICO do something that
connects to your PC) but they aren't that good and still fairly
expensive - probably more to buy than hiring a Dranetz. Hunt around RS
