There are solutions which will present them to the user as all being
in one place. I am using LinuxMCE, which, apart from doing home
automation, is a media centre. In LinuxMCE you can utilize whatever
NAS boxes you have on your network, and they all become part of your
LinuxMCE installation and storage space to rip DVDs to. There will be
a new version (0710) of LinuxMCE out very shortly (couple of days) ,
and it is highly recommended to take a look at the video
(http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=2176025602905109829&hl=en)
if you are interested. It is a friendly fork of Plutohome. Plutohome
has a nice flash presentation on their site (http://www.plutohome.com).
