I've got both the Microsoft Wireless Entertainment Desktop 7000 and
Microsoft Wireless Entertainment Desktop 8000 ... they are very similar
except that on the 8000 the keyboard itself is rechargeable by just
nuzzling
it against the mouse charging base (oh, and the 8000 keyboard is
beautifully
backlit).

Both the 7000 and 8000 are Bluetooth so no line of sight issues and the
range is bloody good too. Also, the keyboards have a directional pad built
in which can be switched between being a directional pad controlling the
cursor to a laptop style "touchpad" ... not quite as easy to use
as a mouse
but fine for occasional use.
