Re: AlertMe v2.0 to Bring Energy Monitoring plus CCTV
lol - like it :)
Have recently been running a number of smart-meters around the house (for
work purposes) - and whilst some devices were alarmingly hungry (A PC
drawing 600W, a kettle that costs 4Pence to boil 1 litre of water) - I was
pleasantly surprised that the RF-Ethernet gateway I use for remote control
drew less than 200mW (peak). Didn't get chance to monitor Broadband Router

Ethernet switch, but it's certainly an eye-opening experience when you get
real time measurements (especially when it's tangible (i.e =A3 & p)) of

per device! (Kettle has since been replaced, now less than half the price
to boil same amount of water - partially helped by the lack of limescale no
doubt)
