They're mounted in some Startech 4-in-3 hot swap backplanes which I bought
from Dabs for about =A370 each - the supplied fans were horrendously noisy
=
and
- at 80 x 80 x 20mm were an odd size to replace but I managed to find some
quieter 80 x 80 x 20mm fans on some Akasa CPU coolers which I bought three
of for 50p each from Savastore, they fitted (with some modification of the
cowlings on the back of the units) and at the same time I reversed the
airflow through the cages (for reasons of dust ingress).=20=20

Yes, there are 2 120mm fans in the back of the case and an 80 mm and 120mm
fan in the PSU ... the case is an original Coolermaster CM Stacker which is
now lamentably discontinued but is a lovely case to work with because it's
so damn big inside!=20

Actually there will be once I get the external enclosures finished too ...
I've got some (OK - 2) external eSATA connected cases to build which will
each take 10 drives and connect to the main server by just two eSATA cables
each (using port multipliers) - so that gives me a possible 32 drives ... I
wonder how WHS will handle that. ;-)
