Simpler in terms of my requirements.  I firstly need it to do FM
radio.
If possible with a web interface and also if possible play mp3s from my
NAS.  From the responses it seems these requirements aren't able to be
met and so, based on the opinions of the list, I am moving towards web
radio...

I take your point about sonos being easy to use/install but as you
imply, it is not cheap.  I am considering it though and it would be top
of my list if I could control it through an iphone without having to
have a PC on to serve the web pages.  This would negate the need to add
to the initial outlay of Zoneplayer + controller.

Anyone know if some software needs to be installed on a PC to interface
between the sonos web interdace and the Zoneplayer?  If all that is
needed is a web server, maybe I could serve web pages on my NAS running
Apache or this might not even be needed if the web pages are served from
the Zoneplayer itself.

Either way, I'd suggest you look long & hard at SONOS - it absolutely
is
the proverbial piece of p*ss to both install and use. It ticks all the
integration boxes - I control mine from CBUS switches, Comfort
responses, and from HomeSeer. A skinnable web interface is freely
available, In addition to the "full fat" PC interface

Of course, if by simpler you also meant to imply cheaper, then that's
another matter entirely.. :-)
