Re: X10 FD10 filter advice
You have to fit multiple FD10s into sub circuits that are protected by
MCB/RCBO rated at 63A or less. Exactly how this would work out depends on
the design of your CU. You use the phase coupling connection to couple the
FD10s together so that the signal can get from one circuit to the other.
It might take an additional breaker in a typical split load box since the
rings are likely to go through a 63A RCD but you want a second one to
common
up the lighting circuits through one FD10 before splitting to their
individual MCBs. The FD10s need to go into the same CU really so that you
can make the phase connection.
Since it's notifiable under Part P it's probably easier to find a friendly
sparky than explain it to LABC.
