Sorry, I'm don't understand why ripping the disks isn't an option? as
in because your son sees the mce interface and assumes its time for
his programmes?
Sorry if im being a bit dense and have it all wrong but if thats the
case one option (and quite a cheap one!) would be to rip all the discs
to the mce pc and then use something else as the front end that
doesn't look like mce. Options would include xbox with xbmc altho no
hdmi or upscaling, a mac mini with xbmc which I think can do upscaling
and I believe you can get dvi to hdmi cables.
Just an option as I guess dvd jukeboxes are going to be big bucks and
you'll always outgrow it eventually or hit a problem if you move to
bluray?!
