Re: Small cheap SlideShow device
Brian, I was thinking the very same thing :-)
Assuming they'd be willing to combine postage - ship X units for approx
$88,
would anyone else be interested in joining in?
How likely is it that they would combine postage - anyone have any
experience of organizing a bulk-buy? (Mr. McCall?)
If so, perhaps people could register their interest here (if that's
acceptable).
I'm guesstimating we'd need ~10/units to make it viable.
Anyone else have any thoughts?
I've just emailed them to see what they say about cost of shipping multiple
units, and whether they have an API for the non-oem version (the manual for
the OEM version lists IR support, and an SDK) - I'll let you know what i
get
back from them.
It's the slideshow integration and the keys that make it
"special" - the LCD
board itself appears to be the normal hobbyist one.
Best,
Rob
