Regardless what a manufacturer might regard as "acceptable",
if it is not
acceptable to you, under the Sale of Goods Act you have every right to have
the problem rectified (which may be your money back, rather than the goods
fixed or replaced).

IIRC most manufacturers regard about 6 pixels as the limit, but
acceptability is subjective and dependent on where those pixels are (and
what colour they are stuck on!).

Anyone know what Apples policy is on stuck pixels? I have a single stuck
red
pixel on a two week old 17" Macbook Pro and it's a bit annoying...

I'll give the local Apple Store a ring in the morning but wondered if
anyone
knew...
