Not all cabinets will necessarily be FTTC enabled initially AIUI,
although the availability checker does seem a bit "challenged"
IMHO. If
I put in our number, it says nothing about FTTC, but if I put in the
postcode (unique to us and only 7 other houses) it says it's available.

You could go searching for your nearest cabinet (if your a bit out of
town, it's likely to be the one supplying your line). The fibre enabled
ones are quite distinctive (about 1.6m tall, for starters). If your
cabinet has been updated, chances are you should be able to switch.

I'm waiting for Zen to get back to me about getting on a FTTC trial at
the mo (else jumping ship to AASIP...).
