Re: Powerline Ethernet Technology
On power line this 200Mbps is a shared bandwidth between all units so
it does not scale well..... heavy point to point data, e.g. HD
streaming, significantly impacting other usage. On a switched CAT5e
network this can be totally avoided. Also that 200Mbps is the
theoretical max bandwidth, downgraded by distance, attenuation,
interference and any protocol overhead, particularly error correction,
which again is near insignificant on CAT5e.
Plus..... it generates RFI :-(
