I've got both FTTC and FTTP. With the latter, you still need the
NTE device with a BT HH5. With both the HH4 and HH5, there are
some things you need to do to get it to work
'optimally'. <br><br>Switch off the
smart wireless channel selection. Use a tool like the Android Wi-Fi
Analyzer app to see what fixed channel is best to use. Use the
primary ones, to avoid overlap. Don't just rely on this
though. These tools don't see interference from plug-in PSU devices
and CF lighting. You have to use trial an error to find the best
Wi-Fi channel if you live in a congested
area.<br><br>Don't leave the 2.4 and 5GHz radios using
the same SSID. This confuses a lot of devices and Apple devices are poor at
doing the handover correctly. 5Ghz Wi-Fi has a much shorter range
unless you use a very high quality, quad antenna wireless access
point.<br><br>If it is important to you, think
about a UPS for the NTE and Home Hub.
