Hi Noel,
=20
Yes this is possible, I do this already but not with a Z-Wave relay. I use
=
HomeVision to switch the relay. However I will be changing the relay I
hav=
e to a Z-Wave version shortly.
=20
Here is my guide =E2=80=93

Subject: [ukha_d] Having two heating controllers in parallel - possible?
=20
=20=20
Hi all,=20
I'm keen to have remote boost of our heating and now I'm into the zwave
wor=
ld simplest way would be to add a zwave boiler relay.
=20
Ideally I'd rather not change the current Honeywell heating
controller/prog=
rammer (rented property) so I was wondering if it's possible to wire a
sing=
le (or double) channel zwave boiler relay such as the http://www.vesternet.=
com/z-wave-horstmann-z-wave-controlled-boiler-receiver-two-channels in
para=
llel with the existing controller?
=20
Result in my mind at least would be that either device could turn the
heati=
ng on.
=20
If both are activated then it's on, if the Honeywell has the heating on
and=
the zwave turns on then in my mind this is like the parallel lighting circ=
uit I have in my old bathroom with a motion detector and dimmer switch,
=20
If motion is triggered light on dim, if someone flicks the switch lights
on=
full.
=20
Is what I'm discussing possible/appropriate with a heating system?
=20
Thanks
Noel=20
