Have to say it's down to personal preference, and how much you want to do
stuff, or how much 'it just works' out of the box functionality you'd like
to have. For this reason we're now using Evohome from Honeywell for our
heating control. As for other automation software options take a look at
the following

I've found that typically support for a specific product will be better in
one software package than another. The biggest problem for integration
right now, is that there is a focus on most commercial hardware solutions
being 'cloud' based and the level of functionality that remains if 'the
cloud' goes away is variable.
