xAP Weather and xAP News Beta released

I have released two xAP programs on my website www.mi4.biz, schema
for them both is there aswell. They are both beta (windows 95+) but
have been running at home for a while without problems so....

The first is xAP Weather. It downloads METAR weather data from a
selected weather station and broadcasts the data it gets over xAP. It
also gives a nice little picture of the current weather type. Think
of it as a kweather for Windows given the xAP treatment. The weather
statoin is selected by a command line addon so you can run many copies
if required.

xAP News is a similar idea, but , yes , for news. It collects RSS/RDF
data and re broadcasts it as xAP. It currently xAPs the first 5
stories with full title/link/description info (if available). It also
generates a different xAP message when the headline changes, which is
useful for slimp3/osd/etc type displays :) xAP is configurable from a
text file which like the command line config of weather lets you run
many copies each tuned in to a different feed.

They are both part of my Palm remote project, which should be finished
soon. I am converting the Palm server to use xAP which is already
opening up some nice possibilities. I already have a networked palm
controlling lights/slimp3/heating displaying news alerts, current
weather info and CID info and all for that low low cost of around
£100 per unit including the Palm of ebay, kinda a cheap for a TCP
networked touchscreen....</end plug mode>

The apps both need to connect to the internet every 20 minutes
so these really are for broadband type connections only, unless you
want a big phone bill that is! They are v1.2 compliant, news uses rdf
or rss .091,1.0,2.0 formats, weather uses METAR data, in both cases
the xAP message is fully decoded. Please remember they are both beta,
