'tis done. Will be in the next release.

You can have it display any New mails it hears about, or not.
And you can have it display any available mail digest reports it hears
about, or not.

I think that accomplishes what you'd like.

This way the digest messages are still sent out for anybody else that
might be interested but they aren't necessarily broadcast as OSD
messages.
