Would it be possible to translate webby codes into plain text at all?
For instance:

xap-header
{
v=12
hop=1
uid=FF234809
class=news.alert
source=mi4.news.anya.A:BBCSCI
}
news.feed
{

link=<a href="http://news.bbc.co.uk/go/click/rss/0.91/public/-/1/hi/sci/tech/default.stm";>http://news.bbc.co.uk/go/click/rss/0.91/public/-/1/hi/sci/tech/default.stm</a>
desc=Updated every minute of every day
title=BBC News  Science/Nature  UK Edition
station=bbcsci
}
news.story
{

link=<a href="http://news.bbc.co.uk/go/click/rss/0.91/public/-/1/hi/sci/tech/3501313.stm";>http://news.bbc.co.uk/go/click/rss/0.91/public/-/1/hi/sci/tech/3501313.stm</a>
desc=Astronomers claim they have observed a
&amp;quot;super-massive&amp;quot; black
hole ripping apart a star and consuming part of it.
title=Huge black hole tears apart star
}

Cool story :)

But "&amp;quot;super-massive&amp;quot;" isn't so friendly
in the news.story
block.

I wonder if it would be best to do this at source since any text goes
in the value part of a name/value pair. Saves every other interested
application having to support this sort of translation.

However I guess there will be cases where it is inappropriate to do
so.
