For anyone who fancies seamless remote xAP connectivity and also
requires VPN functionality, it is worth a look at
openvpn.sourceforge.net -- in bridging mode, the remote site effectively
sits on the local lan, and even receives broadcast messages just as if
you were at home. It's also very nimble over GPRS, even using a UDP
tunnel.
