While the setting works fine in Desktop there is an error in how it
works in the designer. The latest designer can be downloaded here:
http://www.mi4.biz/downloads/displaydesigner.zip
which fixes this and a few other issues.
The current Desktop build that I am working on uses double the fade time
for auto hide so it gets out the way better/faster.

This as Kevin says is a great idea that might be complex in practice. I
will have to think of a nice way around the click problem, leave it with me
