Re: source of XPace
Lasse
The pace app is by James at Mi4, the source is not available on his
site.
You should bear in mind that the Pace modem was one of the few that
supported UK caller ID, I dont know what your modem responds like.
However, at the most basic level Serial Modem stuff is about the AT
command set.
You can can see what is going on with Hyperterminal
Set it up for the correct port speed, etc
the type some AT commands
AT
ATZ - reset
ATDT0149966666 - dial this number
ATH - hang up
WHen you have that working try
AT+VCID=1 which is the Pace modem init string to set up caller id
it should responnd OK as it will to all commands
then if you ring that number say from your mobile you should see it
appear in the hyperterminal window
There is not much point in going further until you can see the modem
dialogs at this level
I do have a homeseer VBscript that talks to a modem and produces xAP
messages, once you have the above working I can send you thatof
list if you like
