RE: xAP Ping / Floorplan / Hub confilcts?

I'm also struggling to get the hub Service to Start first.
In my case my HA server auto logons (via TweakUI) and loads a few XAP apps
from the strartup group. Seems one of them is beating the Service to the
port. If I manually log on after a few seconds instead, the hub has started
OK.
Current xAP apps are:-
HS2 connector
Weather
xAP TV
I cant immediately see an option for any of those to force the use of a hub
?

Well, the dependencies tabs are there but you can't enter or modify
anything - I think they're just for info. I seem to remember something
about
this I read on the web somewhere - I'll take a look.
Oh, and manually starting the hub and then Ping and Floorplan works fine.
James - is this a problem with Ping? Floorplan seems to behave itself.
Paul.

I am no expert in this, there must be others here who are, but there is a
Dependencies tab on the services properties, so I guess I would start there
First though, If you stop those 3 services, then start the hub manually,
then the other services, does the problem go away?

How do you make a service start before another service though?
Paul.

Just checking basic stuff , but it has always been my understanding that
the
hub **must** be the first xAP app to run if you are planning on running
more than one xAP app on that system

No - but maybe it has something to do with all the other xAP apps I have
installed over time? Does it rely on anything else outside of it's
directory? Maybe I'll delete it's dir and install a fresh copy (last time I
overwrote what was already there).
Paul.
