...and this file is NOT present on my MCE machine. Just remote desktop-ed
onto it. There is a MCxAP-logo.PNG file though.

So that leaves us with the RegisterMCEApp.exe. Looks like you just
need to pass the MCxAP-XPMCE.XML file in as a parameter. The /u
unregisters MCxAP. Try both and see if either reports any problems to
give us a hint.

I too have the two MCxAP log files present in the root of C:\ :-) I'll
fix that in the next version so it's optional and off by default.
That's an oversight. I don't even recall what the difference is now!
