Hi,
Just thought I'd mention a feature of the latest xAP Intranet apps that
I don't think has be mentioned before. The end result is a button on the
Bookmarks toolbar that drops down to give quick links to all the
Intranet applications, very much like the Intranet Laucher does.
The latest Intranet ocx provides an RSS feed that lists all available
Intranet applications. FireFox has a feature called a Live Bookmark and
basically you make a live bookmark and link it to one of the Intranet
apps. You then place the bookmark on the toolbar.
To do this.
Open FireFox and navigate to an Intranet app
Make sure the bookmarks toolbar is turned on View > Toolbars >
Bookmarks Toolbar
Click on the XML icon down the bottom
Right click on the XML icon next to 'RSS feed of all intranet sites' and
'Copy Link Location'
In FireFox click Bookmarks and Manage Bookmarks
Click File, then 'New Live Bookmark'
Give the new bookmark a suitable name and paste the link in to the Feed
Location box (Ctrl+V), then click OK
Now drag the Live bookmark you just created and drop it onto the
Bookmarks Toolbar.
You now have quick access to all the Intranet apps and as a bonus get an
open all option where every Intranet webpage will be loaded each in
their own tab.
hth
James
