Hi Dan
I am a bit like James, in that I don't have my door bell connected to xAP
but I do it another way:-
I have an x10 motion detector facing the front door and this generates a
BSC
message through Edwards X-10 connector and so on to Floorplan
A script in Floorplan generates a xAP-OSD display message which I see on my
TV via Tivo and Tivodisplay and also on a VFD and a LCD display via
SerDisp3
and also from Intranet Launcher if I am at my PC
Originally I had a doorbell sound from my Doorbell app as well, but I am
running silent at the moment
I remember seeing a post on the Homeseer board about a Doorbell project

Hi,
This place is so quiet, how am I supposed to keep myself amused at work...
Anyway. Just to liven things up a bit, do any of you have a xAP
enabled doorbell?
If so how did you do it and with what? I have a few ideas, but an
interested in other solutions.
I would be able to test my ideas if only I could get the serial bridge
working.... hint, hint Patrick! ;-)
I have found it quite hard to locate any detailed info on electronics
projects which involve xAP, I have found a few, or are there just not
many writeups on the web?
Looking forward to some interesting responces!
