Cannot talk to Xap Jabber

Hi to James and Neil, been following your discussions with interest.

I'm trying to get this program to work with my exsiting system as
well, and i'm also having problems.

I've set up 3 accounts with amessage.eu, 2 normal user accounts (1
for home, 1 for work)and one called XAP for the jabber program. I can
chat between the home and work accounts fine. I can see the XAP
account on my jabber client at work ok, and it appears registered on
Xap jabber. The IM tab in switchboard also shows my works account ok.

What I don't seem to be able to do is talk to the xap jabber bot.
Sending #help, etc commands fail to return any messages.
I also note that sending the 'hi' on the Xap jabber program very
rarely sends a message to my works account.

I'm sure i've set my accounts up ok, and the settings.txt file seems
ok - both the home and work accounts appear at the bottom of the file.

Any ideas why I can't talk to the bot?

Regards,

Ian.
