Re: www.opnode.org released

Hi Kevin,

I've been able to post messages until today, maybe due to an error from
yahoo groups.

Trying to answer your questions:

Prices should be:

=E2=82=AC150 for beta-testers : module 100% hand-made (as the one showed
in=
the
website).

=E2=82=AC222 for the final product : CNC-machined enclosure with silkscreen
(better looking than beta-units).

These prices don't include shipment costs. Regarding the shipment, we
still have to study different formulas. Any suggestion?

We thought initially in producing only three beta-units. The system is
performing very well and we already have three spare boards here. I
didn't want to compromise anyone for beta-testing until next week but I
could reserve a beta-unit for you if you want (please, let me know).

opn-one does support any analog measurement done by DS2438 or DS2450
devices. Then it's up to you to configure the endpoint to display
humidity, pressure, level, etc and not just the converted voltage. To do
this, you just have to set the "offset" and "factor"
values owned by
every analog endpoint, from the endpoint editor. There is also a
"units"
field so that xAP, xPL or the web browser see the physical parameter and
not the voltage.

Parameter =3D Voltage * factor + offset

Of course, this is only true for linear measurements.

For future releases, we'd like to include JavaScript macros in order to
set "offset", "factor" and "units"
automatically depending on the
third-party board.

I've updated my website with some FAQs.

Regards,

Daniel.
