Hi,
the x10.events is a builtin function of the plugin and can't currently
be disabled. I'll add an option to do this though as well as some method
of enabling it per device.

The guides are hs1 but the logic is the same for hs2

The original concept of these events was to quickly trigger events based
on xAP data. HS1 was quite slow at receiving, processing and outputting
a change and these events allowed the plugin to run things quickly
outside of HS. xAP Variables are pretty much the same as a HS devices.
They get updated by xAP information and can trigger events. xAP Events
are sequences of instructions that make it easy to generate xAP
commands. The idea is you don't need to know how to make a xAP message
you can just pick 'display message' and fill in a few boxes.Device
change events are the same as xap events just triggered by changes in a
HS device.
