I will tell you a bit more about my installation

I have only been running Weather Display (WD) for 5 or 6 weeks but I
have not experienced any software instability problems so far

I have mounted my sensor pole on a dedicated aerial pole attached to
the far end of my garage. I guess it is about 14 foot to the top of
the pole where the wind direction and speed sensors are.

The sensors on the pole are battery powered, so the
battery/temperature beehive needs to be accessible. The wind sensors
are on top of the pole and connect together and then run to the
beehive, which is mounted as low down as I could make it, so it is
accesible by a short ladder. The rain collector is mounted half way
up and is also wired to the beehive. I am thinking about a solar cell
arrangement to recharge the batteries (later).

In the manual it says orient the wind direction sensors in accordance
with the N S E W markings, I couldn't make these out so I set it up
by using the LCD display before I mounted the pole

The Weather Display software supports many weather stations, when it
initialy supported this one, the WH1080, it required that the
supplied Easyweather software be installed and talked through that.
