xAP to Asterisk (axc)

Hi All (and Greg if you're around?),
Now I have a fully working Asterisk PBX solution - based on PBX in a Flash

and FreePBX, I'm really interested in getting xAP integration working with

it.
I read through the install readme but there were several stages I'm not
sur=
e about - does anyone know of a walk-through guide or additional
instructio=
ns at all?
Greg - any plans at all to maybe create a FreePBX module to aid
installatio=
n/integration/configuration? I guess it's a fair bit of work though.
What I'm most interested in is getting xAP data into Asterisk - so I can
se=
tup IVR menus that give me reports on security status of alarms etc. I'd
al=
so like to be able to send xAP messages via this method too. Ideally, I'd
l=
ike to replace my Comfort alarm menu system which has never really worked
w=
ell for me (not very user friendly). From the readme, I couldn't see how
th=
is would be done. Additionally, does there need to be any other xAP
compone=
nts on the Linux box hosting Asterisk (CentOS).
Any thoughts/ideas?
