first, thanks for your details answers!

I don't know that xAP and xPL are so big digfferent things/ features.

a running xpl hub on the NAS is unfortunately a condition of the eibPort.

OK, so my adventure for searching a xpl-hub for the NAS/ Squeezecenter
continues!  :-)
