I felt it made sense to name the actual Slim player itself and then
have the connector pick that up and do the rest.

The name for my Slim player doesn't 'feel' right to be
"KCSoft.SliMP3.Office", as I'm not its vendor.

For instance:

xap-header
{
v=12
Hop=1
UID=DEADBEEF
Class=xAP-OSD.Display
Source=KCSoft.Send.Anya
Target=SlimDevi.SliMP3.Office
}
Display.SliMP3
{

Duration=15
Align1=Centre
Align2=Centre
}

This way even if the xAP support is native inside the Slim Server s/w
rather than using somebody's connector, I won't ever have to change
the Target address depending on the connector.

I name my TiVo "Thompson.TiVo.TV-Room" as well for that matter as
I
think that makes more sense.

My connector sends out h/b's that DO use "KCSoft" in the Vendor
bit.
