Sorry been out of the loop a little on this -

Re the xAP to C-Bus gateway I do NOT currently intend to charge for
it as a software application however I will have to charge as a hardware
device. My hardware development to date has been nil. I had originally
intended to PIC code this as I have some familiarity here. I have been
asked
by a couple of people though for Ethernet (cf RS232) connectivity in which
case I might have to explore the Rabbit option though. I still have to
confirm the ongoing availability of the C-Bus SIM and quite how many people
would be interested before I commit to producing this.
On the software side I would describe it as Alpha though, I believe
that Beta implies a frozen feature set. As I only finally received the tech
info a few weeks ago and have been in Brazil most of the intervening time
there are now loads of new possibilities from a supported feature
perspective. I think Q3 is more realistic for release although it is my
intention to provide betas along the way to steer the product. I have been
using the original C-Bus gateway myself though for many months though now.
What I also hadn't mentioned Mark was that I have in the last few
weeks totally recoded the application - having now dropped TonyT's
framework
and moved to Patricks OCX. This has actually helped code maintenance no end
and proved very robust, although it took a complete rewrite. I also now
have
to recode to the 'low level' C-Bus/SIM serial protocol rather than the
higher level one I had reverse engineered in the absence of the tech info
being made available.
