I must admit I'd have thought so. Perhaps the same rules as apply to
email addresses could be applied here? I don't know what those rules
and restrictions are, but sticking to a small subset alpha-numeric
characters appeals to me.

I am however unsure of how foreign translations/localisation issues
would impact here.

If you'd asked me without any chance to check, I'd have expected that
to be the case.

I thought the block indexing was Block.Name.1 and Block.Name.2

Inside blocks I anticipated it to be Light1=Off Light2=On.
