Great news Frank :-)

My issue with xp turned out to be that I didn't follow my own instructions!

I've now done the same (deleted xpl.ocx from windows\system32 as it was an
old one dated august, installed xplinstall) and my servers back up and
running with just one copy of the ocx.

I really need to work out why xplinstall doesn't overwrite the older ocx
now...
