xPL plug-in for Winamp

Hi all,
I'm thinking about writing a plug-in for Winamp to allow direct control via
xPL.
Just wondered if anyone else has done something similar, or indeed if
anyone
else would find such a plug-in useful.
I'm guessing the audio.basic schema would be my starting point, with any
extensions added to an audio.winamp schema?
Thoughts?
