Hmm, that sounds a bit scary!

Are there any idiot proof instructions for someone with no linux
knowledge and no linux boxes to set this up on the tivo?

Hi Graham,

xPLTivo is under Hardware at www.xplhal.com, as it is now a native Tivo
app. You also need the Tivo Hub.

Before starting either app, please ensure that the loopback is up and
running.
